What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer two church services on Sunday mornings. Our Modern Service (9:45am) is a casual worship environment. We meet in our Fellowship Hall. Feel free to dress comfortably - jeans and ties are equally welcome. Worship usually begins with music that includes guitars, drums, keyboards, and singing. Our pastor speaks on Scripture and relevant topics. We celebrate Communion (bread & juice) each Sunday, in which all are invited to participate. Our Traditional Service (11:00am) in our sanctuary is slightly more formal in dress, music, and order of worship. Our music is usually accompanied by our choir and organ. This service follows a more structured order (found in the bulletin), that includes hymns, creeds, prayers, Scripture, and a sermon. The pastor delivers a similar message in both Traditional and Modern worship. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, in which all are invited to participate.

What is the community like?
We are a down-to-earth, diverse community that seeks to make faith relevant to life.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We would love to have you check us out! We have others who worship regularly with us who are not Christian, and they still find the services and messages inspiring and helpful in some way. All are welcome at Skycrest.
