Saint Mark's UMC

About Us

"All things are buoyed by prayer.”

St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, a congregation of African ancestry, was founded and organized in 1871 by the Reverend William F. Butler. The congregation moved to its present location in 1924.

St. Mark’s shares a common heritage with United Methodists & Christians world-wide who:
* Live with conviction that God’s love & mercy are for all people
* Believe in a triune God — Father, Son & Holy Spirit
*Confess salvation through faith in Jesus Christ
*Celebrate the mystery of faith in the sacraments of the Eucharist & baptism

St. Mark’s emphasizes ministries of:
*Discipleship that discovers & responds to God as made known in the Bible
*Membership that builds & sustains relationships of trust
*Stewardship that uses our gifts & resources to pastor in our community by word, deed, & sign

Pastor:
The Reverend Tisha M. Jermin, M.Div.
