What are services like?
Come in and enjoy a diverse array of worship each week. We have Puppets that entertain us during Worship several times a month. These are performed by the children of St. John's. On those months with 5 Sundays, all hymns are selected by the congregation, a Favorite Hymn Sunday.
You might be surprised (and quite delighted) at what you find once you've entered our doors! Remember, there's always a warm seat, and a friendly smile, waiting for you.
What is the community like?
St. John's is a church in transition, seeking to become a Teaching Church. We are in a community that is predominately Catholic. We partake in an Ecumenical Service with the other churches here in Breese that is hosted by a different church each year.
Yet here at St. John's, we are a close knit congregation, with different ways to enjoy our fellowship together. In the morning before Worship, we get together for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. There is also a Bible Study going on. The children are engaged in Christian Education at the same time. Once a month, the Women of Faith get together, but not always here at Church. Usually on a trip to somewhere exciting!
What if I'm not a Christian?
The doors of St. John's are open to everyone. With true joy we welcome all who come here, for there are no strangers – no matter where you are on life’s journey.
