What to Expect

What are services like?
Traditional worship order with a friendly atmosphere; organ and piano music; singing from a denominational hymnal; youth and adult choirs sing and members lift up announcements and prayer requests. Occasional drama or special music. Children and youth are present during worship.

What is the community like?
Mixed ages, primarily caucasian, many multiple generation families and a few newcomers. Theology is on the moderate to progressive side. Many members are working people with high school educations. Younger members are college or tech school educated. We love to eat and socialize together and value our traditions, but we are not a stuffy church.

What if I'm not a Christian?
New Christians are encouraged to attend worship, participate in an adult study (or if youth, a two year confirmation program) and receive baptism at any age you are ready. Anyone is welcome to worship without feeling pressure to join the church.
