Celebrating Christ - Serving Brooklyn

About Us
While our network and our congregations are still fairly new, our beliefs and practices are not. Resurrection Brooklyn wholeheartedly embraces the historic Christian faith expressed in all the ecumenical creeds of the universal church (e.g., the Apostles and Nicene Creeds). Secondarily, we are committed to the theological heritage of the Protestant Reformation seen in our commitment to the faith as it is expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith and our affiliation with the Evangelical Presbyterian denomination. Because we are rooted in these theological commitments, we are able to partner with churches across the theological spectrum and celebrate any work that is done in the name of Jesus.

Leadership
Matt Brown
Lead Pastor
Matt Brown is the senior pastor of Resurrection Brooklyn and the lead pastor of the Park Slope congregation. He and his wife, Deb, met while attending college in New York and doing youth ministry together in Brooklyn. After Matt graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in 1996, they were married and moved back to New York where Matt served as Associate Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Rye, NY for seven years. They returned to Brooklyn in 2003 and live in Park Slope with their three children: Flannery, Charlotte and Walker. Matt is an avid sports fan and will root for the Boston Red Sox until the Dodgers return to Brooklyn.
