An all NEW way of doing church! Las Cruces, NM
Reel 2 Real Church

Who We Are

Reel 2 Real Church is a video venue church plant of Mesilla Park Community Church. Reel 2 Real meets in the Mesilla Valley Mall at the Cineport 10 Movie Theater. Church in a movie theater sounds crazy right? Actually, it a really awesome place to hold church service. Reel 2 Real is geared towards college students and young adults/families and is a very modern and exciting church that strives to meet the needs of people of today. We have a live, very modern/contemporary band that leads us in worship and then dive into the scripture via video sermon that is recorded the night before. Because the video is current and fresh, we are on the same track as the rest of our church body. Reel 2 Real church also has a full childcare program provided by our SonTown Children's Ministry for ages birth - 5th grade. Come early and grab donuts and Hope coffee (delicious coffee that gives 100% of their profits back to missionary organizations in Honduras) to enjoy during the service.

Our Services

What are services like?
Churches all over the country have been switching to this movie theater church model, and good news... IT WORKS! After visiting many video venue services and doing our homework, we feel that Mesilla Park Community Church is a perfect fit for theater church. As a church, we are so excited to present Reel2Real, Las Cruces, NM's 1st Theater Church! The service structure will looks little like this: 1. SHOW UP: When you arrive you will be greeted at the door by people who are genuinely excited you are there. If you are a first time visitor, be sure to stop by the welcome booth & pick up some information about our church and your FREE MOVIE PASS! 2. GRAB A SEAT: If you have kids, you can check them into their classes using the touch-screen kiosks and then follow the signs to the Adult Worship Service. Grab some seats for you and your friends/family and settle in. 3. WORSHIP: Service will start with worship, lead (live) by Robert Frick and the worship team. During worship, this is YOUR time with God, nobody is judging you. If you don't feel comfortable standing... Don't stand. If you don't feel comfortable raising your hands... thats ok! Everyone worships God in their own way and expresses their love in differently. What is important is that you do what you need to worship God the best you can and that you respect that other people worship in their own way as well. 4. SERMON: Settle in & get comfortable for the sermon. The sermon will be shown via video on the movie screen, and although this may take a little getting used to at first, we promise that before long you will forget its a video. The sermons are recorded the evening prior, at Saturday Night Life service held at the Mesilla Park Community Church campus at 6:00pm. Typically the sermon will be given by the Senior Pastor, Dennis Diaz but don't be surprised when William Dossett, our Executive Pastor, or one of our Elders shows up on the screen instead. Either way... it will be a great learning experience! We also provide sermon notes in your bulletin, on our website & in the weekly email to help you follow along, so be sure to fill in the blanks as we dive into the Word! 5. MAKE FRIENDS OVER COFFEE & DONUTS: Once the sermon is dismissed, pick up your kids and head on out to the theater lobby. We will have donuts and coffee provided for you, totally free of cost... so dig in! Friendship & community is very important to us, the Bible says that we cannot be the Christians we were created to be without other Christians. This is a great time to strike up a conversation with someone you don't know... or get to know someone better that you do know. Jump on in... we won't bite!

What is the community like?
Reel 2 Real is a very down to earth church environment. We pride ourselves on being a church that is open to and very accessible to those who may not be comfortable going to a church building. We are friendly, fun and love the sense of community and friendship that we are building!

What if I'm not a Christian?
Everyone is welcome! It doesn't matter who you are, where you've come from or what you have been through, YOU are welcome. Because we all know that we are imperfect, our goal is to make every person who walks through our doors feel that they are important in God's eyes and in our eyes. If you are not sure what you believe or if our church is for you, give us a try, its amazing what an open mind can do for you. If you have questions about what to expect or maybe you would just like more information about Christ and God's love for you, please give us a call at (575) 524-7658
