Ed Wandling

Ed was born in Charleston, WV and grew up just outside of that city in a rural area known as Sissonville. He loves his home state and consequently is a big fan of West Virginia University football and basket ball, and loves to be in the Appalachian Mountains in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. His journey to Texas began in 1979 when he left the state to attend school at Asbury College in Wilmore, KY. Upon graduation in 1982 he took a position in Hereford, TX where he met his bride to be, Mendy Rogers. Ed and Mendy married in 1984 and started a journey together that includes the raising of three daughters, graduation from Asbury Theological Seminary, ministry and business positions Texas and Colorado, and arriving in Cypress in June of 2008 to be the pastor of what would become Cypress Oaks Church. He loves being with people and his passion is to see people experience the fullness and depth of purpose in life that comes through a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. His purpose is not just to win people to Christ but to help them grow so that the character of Christ is reproduced in their lives.
