About Us

Called to Make a Difference

You are welcome to join in Sunday morning celebrations at PVWC with service at 11:00! Our prayer is that you will discover God’s love and presence from the moment you walk in the doors. When you arrive, parking is located both in the front and the rear of the church. Near both entrances, just beyond the door, greeters are available to help answer questions and help you find your way. Once inside our friendly congregation will welcome you. We want you to be comfortable quickly, so that you can get on with your pursuit of God and His activity for our world.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The Bible tells us that, “The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 Accordingly, you will find that people dress in whatever they feel comfortable in, with a few wearing a suit, many in more business casual attire and some in jeans. If you are looking for both a worship service and a smaller group connection, you can pick from Sunday School classes available at 10:00 before attending worship celebration or check out one of our Shepherd Groups. Relevant, Bible-based curriculum is available for children, teens, and adults of all ages. If you need special assistance on a Sunday, just drive under the portico and request help at those main doors.

What is the community like?
We love our home here in the upstate of SC because there is a diverse blend of people from a broad range of ethnic, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds.

What if I'm not a Christian?
The Bible describes the ministry of Jesus as one of unconditional acceptance, especially to those rejected by society. You are special in God’s eyes and your life has a purpose. We believe that it is clear in the scriptures that Jesus lived, died, and rose again to demonstrate God’s tenacious love and to open the doors of Heaven for ALL people providing strength for the oppressed and encouragement for the disenfranchised. If you have hurts or needs, and want someone to listen and to pray we’re here for you with open hearts and God’s love to share.
