Mark Canfield

I was raised in Battle Creek, MI -- the home of Tony the Tiger and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1981. I love Classic Rock (Journey, Van Halen, Foreigner, etc.) and am a die hard University of Michigan fan -- GO BLUE!! I attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO and Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. I have a B.A. in Church Ministries with a concentration in Missions. Post graduate work was completed at Rockbridge University and I have an M.A. in Church Leadership. I have been in full-time ministry since 1990 and on staff at PCC since 1994. When Lori and I first came to PCC, there were only about 150 people meeting in a small hotel conference room. It was quite an adventure. In 2004, I took the lead role and have enjoyed watching God use me to inspire people to become all that God designed them to be. My goal is to retire from PCC "young" and at a point where the church is growing and healthy. I want to mentor the next Lead Pastor and staff to take my place and then watch them thrive by taking PCC to an even greater place. After that, I hope to find a place in the mountains to settle down and spend the remainder of my life encouraging and coaching pastors and churches.
