About Us

Paullina Meeting is a small rural meeting community whose faith h practice are rooted in the teachings of Jesus. Although the Bible continues to teach both the spiritual relationship and growth of the Jew people in the Hebrew scriptures and the teachings of Jesus, his disciples and early church in the gospels and epistles known as the Christian New Testament, they have experienced and share that "Christ has come to teach his people himself." Believing there is that of God in each person that longs to give guidance and Love to all who seek to Listen, Friends (Quakers seek to Love all people and creation as God loves us. This has led to the seeking to live in a way that takes away the occasion for war, supporting work toward peaceful resolution to personal and conflict in wider communities. Most are conscientious objectors to military service though willing to enter war torn areas for reasons of humanitarian aid. Thus they labor with what is required to: live simply in the world; be caregivers for the earth as and all living on/in it; seek equality for all people whom they experience as equally Loved by God; live with integrity, seeking always to speak Truth to power; live in community with others where they can draw closer to each other and God through example, seeking together, giving each other courage and encouragement to live faithfully & follow personal & community discerned leadings and Listen carefully. It is not a political faith. It is a faith that seeks to Love as demonstrated by Rabbi Jesus of Nazareth. Not all attenders and members consider themselves Christian or even theists. There is no Creed required to be spoken. Friends welcome all Seekers willing to wrestle with the teachings of Jesus and what that means in their own hearts as well as how they / we are called to Be in the world.
