Who We Are

Faithful to God's Word; Welcoming to all.

We are a small midsize mainline church that seeks to honor God through our Lord and Savior Jesus. Paul wrote to the Ephesians that we are "God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works..." To the Corinthians he wrote, "Knowing the fear of the Lord we try to persuade...for Christ's love compels us." With that in mind, our goal is to fulfill God's call to us by building relationships by loving God and loving one another. It is to remember one definition of ministry: "Ministry begins when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God" (Warren Wiersbe).

What to Expect

What are services like?
The first service is a traditional style and the second service is blended (mostly contemporary with some traditional hymns). The preaching is Bible-centered with application for our lives.

What is the community like?
The church community is friendly and enjoys welcoming people. It is striving to grow in and act on their faith.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome to participate and seek God to find healing and hope. If we are indeed the "loving channels" for the "divine resources" then we must be open and relevant to all who join in our worship. We do not force people to make decisions; rather, we seek to invite people to discover God's amazing grace with us.

Leadership

R. Kenneth Evitts

I came to faith in in Jesus Christ in my early teens and though I sensed God's call in my life to pastoral ministry, it wasn't until my "second career" that this happened. I have now been in pastoral ministry since 1988. I have a wife, three adult sons, and four grandchildren. I enjoy music and sports, and I am passionate about my golf game. That which drives me most, though, is my passion and enthusiasm for serving God by empowering people to discover God's great love for them in Jesus Christ through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
