What to Expect

What are services like?
When we gather, we celebrate! We’re excited about what God is doing in the world, and in our lives. Our Sunday gatherings are an expression of that joy. We’ll sing together, pray together, hear from God through the public reading of the bible, one of our pastors will explain what was read and encourage us to believe and obey it, we’ll remember Jesus sacrifice together by celebrating the Lord’s Supper each week, and we’ll praise God through song as a response to all we’ve heard.

What is the community like?
The heartbeat of New Covenant Church South Boston is in our Covenant Groups. Here you will find friendships where you can be known, loved, encouraged, rebuked, challenged, and equipped to live like a disciple of Jesus.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Even if you are new to Christianity, to Protestant Christianity, or just exploring the idea of Jesus and the bible, then we would welcome you at any of our gatherings. The best way to begin is usually by attending one of our Covenant Groups. These are smaller groups of people who meet mid-week in someone’s home to study and discuss the bible. Questions are always welcome, and you’ll never feel like an outsider.
