Who We Are

Hi and welcome to Needville Community Church (NCC). We are a church associated with the Assemblies of God but with an interdenominational service and outreach. The emphasis at NCC is "To Know God's forgiveness and power; to discover your purpose for which God specifically created you for; and to love everyone within your sphere of influence with God's love.
We are a spirit filled church that allows the freedom of the Holy Spirit as long as it agrees with Paul's instructions that "Everything must be done in decency and in order." More than anything we are a family. From every age group, Kidtricity Toddlers (Nursery) thru our 50+ Seniors Ministry we are focused on loving God and loving you. I hope you will be our guest very soon. God bless.

Our Services

What are services like?
Our services begin at 10 AM, but the fun really starts at 9 AM with a complmentary breakfast. Your Coffee Connection team provides a delicious breakfast every week. This is a real treat for families with children because all they have to do is get the kids up, get them dressed, into the car and they can have breakfast together as a family at the church. Our Worship and the Word service starts at 10 AM with uplifing and passionate worship. We want you to feel God's love and His powerful presence as the service starts. Pastor Monty then brings "The Word". It is Biblical truths that you can apply to your life today. He is compassionate but firm. His thinking is that if I say I am a Christian, I ought to live like a Christian. He says "In whatever area of your life you want real success, put God first in that area. How do I do that? Find out what the Bible says about marriage, parenting, love, money, careers, ministry, missions and apply those principles to your life and you will have real success."

What is the community like?
Needville is a small bedroom community. The community was founded by German, Bohemian and Chez immigrants. Things are changing because of the rapid growth of Fort Bend County, but you will love the peacerful, quiet surroundings and people.

What if I'm not a Christian?
On January 23, 1958 at 3:27 AM, my parents did not hold me up and say, "Hey look, we had a pastor!" If you are not a Christian you are most welcomed here. You will find love and acceptance. Now you will hear what the Bible says about the issues of life and sometimes you may see that you and God are opposite ends of the table. Don't fear, God's message to you is "Let me love you and forgive you and help you see things from my perspective and life will make sense." I truly believe the most intelligent decision we can make is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. So relax and let God's love help you see what life can really be.

Monty Kelley

Pastor Monty began in full time ministry shortly after his graduation from high school. He spent four years on the streets of America ministering to people who would not normally go near a church door. From Harlem, New York to East Los Angeles, California; from 4th Ward in Houston, Texas to Belle Isle outside of Detroit, Michigan, Pastor Monty has ministered to the homeless, the drug addict, the prostitute, gang members and many others. God used this time to open his eyes and heart to the needs around him and to the fact that God loves us, no matter who we are, what shape we are in or where we are in life's journey. Pastor Monty received his ordination into the Assemblies of God in April 1989. He graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a B. S. in Church Ministries, and a Specialization in Pastoral Studies. In April 2005, he was called to be the pastor of Needville Community Church. It has been an exciting seven years. The vision Pastor Monty has for NCC; To Know, the power of God's love and forgivness To Discover your purpose, why did God create you To Love, to touch every life within your sphere of influence with God's pure love

  • Our family has been attending NCC for 3/12 years. My husband was raised Catholic and I was a member of a Houston Methodist congregation. When a friend invited us to NCC we weren't looking for a certain religious denomination - we were just looking for the "right" Church for us. We found it at NCC. Pastor Monty and the congregation were so warm and welcoming at our very first visit. The fact they provide a free and delicious home cooked breakfast every Sunday was an added bonus. Each Sunday as I enter Church there is a peace that surrounds me and the philosophy at NCC (outreach to others) is what we believe in and what we want our teenage daughter to learn. She looks forward to attending the teenage youth group each Sunday night and worshiping with her peers. Pastor Heather presents messages that deal with the struggles teens experience daily. In addition, she also plans fun Christian activities/outings such as summer camp and concerts. NCC is like a family which is important to us because most of our extended family is out of state. It is a blessing to have a Church family to help you rejoice in and deal with the daily ups and downs of life.
  • NCC was the place I decided to call home after moving back from Florida 1 1/2 yrs ago. The presence of God moved in such a serene and precious way during the praise and worship, which only confirmed that God was calling me to this church. They offered childcare for my little one and classes for my school age children which allowed me to concentrate on the Word with no distractions. I would encourage anyone who doesnt already have a church family to visit NCC. The people are friendly and its easy to feel at home. I like to dress up for church, so I do, even though the majority dress casual. However, I dont feel out of place because everyone is different but accepted. The congregation is multi-racial, all with different backgrounds and different customs, but we are all there for the same praise and worship our Living God! *I also like the fact that I have the option to praise in Spanish too! I go to both the English service in the morning, and the Spanish service at night! - That completed me! :)
