Murrieta United Methodist Church was the first church built in Murrieta in 1886. Today, the church sits at the corner of Adams and Kalmia Streets and is a vibrant member of the community. Many say that the church has been very successful because of its children and youth programs but there is also a strong contingent of senior citizens as well...

The church implements its purpose statement of Loving God (through worship and a strong Bible Study program), Loving Others (through small groups and social events), and Serving Others (through an active Mission program where everyone is encouraged to be find ways to serve others.

The church is also well known for its music program with fun kids musical performances, a full chancel choir, and contemporary singers.

What are services like?
Welcome! We're glad you're checking us out! Whether you've attended church your whole life, or never stepped foot in a church even once, MUMC is a safe place to bring your questions, doubts and curiosity, regardless of your beliefs or background. We invite you to take a look around and see some of our opportunities. With wonderful programs for children, youth, and adults alike, there is a place for you to get connected. What is the community like?
We believe true, heartfelt worship should lead to an encounter with God. Worship is not a consumer event, but something for everybody in the community to participate in. Each worship service is a different style, but the message from the Bible is the same, something practical and encouraging for your life every day. Our 8:00 a.m.is a 45 minute service that features well-loved hymns and Communion. Our 9:00 a.m. service combines contemporary and traditional worship for a "blended" experience. Our 11:00 a.m. worship experience is a spirited traditional service that featuring the Chancel Choir and well-loved hymns. SUNDAY CLASSES for all ages starts at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship hall. We ask that you check-in pre-school and elementary aged children at the desk to the right of the Sanctuary door prior to the 9:00 service. Your children will start their Sunday School experience in the Sanctuary and then leave for Sunday School during the service. Youth go directly to the Youth Room.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are who we exist for....we will provide you help and guidance in your new walk with Jesus Christ. There are classes to help you understand who Jesus is and guides to help you along the way if you want.
