Who We Are
Mount Zion is a very traditional Methodist church. We rely on the traditional "Order of Worship" using liturgy, readings, responsive readings, choral anthems, occasional instrumental accompaniments, and soloists.
We offer the kind of Sunday school (9:45 a.m.) and traditional worship service (11:00 a.m.) that you may have been brought up in. There are Christmas parties and Easter Egg hunts for the children, a "Blessing of the Backpacks" for Back-to-School, a "Tailgate at the Parsonage" during football season, quarterly church pot-luck dinners, a men's club that sponsors a barbecue meal fundraiser at the Central Railroad Festival, and women's groups: the Beverly Smith Guild which sponsors the Minister's Cook-Off to help support Safe Harbor and the United Methodist Women who sponsor a Valentines Soup Meal to help support missions.
There is something for everyone at Mount Zion and an opportunity to serve the community through Clemson Community Care, the Mission Wave, and the Young Adults Group.
The biggest strength at Mount Zion is it's caring and loving congregation. Why not give us a try? If you are looking for a place to belong, we welcome you! Our church will accept you just for who you are. You will belong here, you will be welcomed here, and you will be loved here!
