Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church
About Us
Mount Carmel United Methodist Church is a community of believers committed to reaching people for Christ. Nestled in the hills of rural, historic Chester County, the stone church was constructed in 1919. The congregation has a strong music program with an active church choir. People with many different backgrounds come together to form the congregation, A commitment to children and youth drives the active youth ministry and Sunday School. Check out our "Ministries" page for a current menu of our many opportunities for service.
Mt. Carmel also has a active United Methodist Women’s society. Fundraising activities carry out a number of mission projects. The most successful programs is the Christmas Shoe Box Collection.
Throughout the year congregation members come together in fellowship to meet the community such as a bazaar, dinners, strawberry festival, and rummage sale.
Rev. Dennis Emrick, our pastor, began his ministry in St. Peter's on September 1st after "supplying" the pulpit for several weeks after Mt. Carmel's previous pastor and her family moved to New England. Pastor Emrick has served in a variety of churches throughout Eastern Pa.
