Mayflower Church

The mission of Mayflower Church is, "To Know Christ and Make Him Known."

About Us

Mayflower Church seeks to know Christ and make Him known by knowing, following, and sharing Jesus Christ. We believe our faith in Jesus is best lived in a community so that we can strengthen and encourage one another. We welcome people from all walks of life to come and worship the King of Kings!

For those who desire to know, we hold to a congregational baptist polity and views of the Scripture.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We are a church in revitalization. Currently, our services are small with +/- 50 people in attendance each week. We have nursery services and activities for children over four years old to participate in the worship service, including the sermon.

What is the community like?
Our church family is incredibly friendly and enjoys fellowship with great food after each service.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Mayflower is an excellent place for those who are exploring Christianity but have not made that decision. We do not brush over the difficult things in the Bible or in life. We care deeply about having a genuine desire for Truth, whether it is revealed in nature or the Bible. We offer a course twice a year for those exploring Christianity.

Leadership

Anton Brown

Anton Brown

Anton is the pastor/teaching elder at Mayflower Church. A native of New England, he has over a decade of pastoral ministry experience in church planting, pastoral coaching, and church revitalization. Anton received his Bachelor of Social Science (University of Maine) in 1993, his Master of Divinity (The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) in 2019, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in historical and systematic theology at SBTS. His area of research is the intersection of theological anthropology with transhumanist philosophy and its ethical implications for the church. He is a pianist with a growing passion for classical music, especially Rachmaninoff and Mozart, but is still known to turn up the radio for ’80s hair bands. He also enjoys reading fantasy novels, shopping used bookstores and biking with his family. He has been married to the love of his life, Amy, for thirty-two years. Amy is also pursuing her doctorate in biblical counseling while building a counseling ministry at Mayflower. They have five sons, ages 20-31.
