About Us

Methodist and United Brethren churches have been a faithful and active part of this rural farming community since the late 1840's. We have both contemporary and traditional worship with a choir/musical leadership for each. We have active ministry in the community and area through Samaritan House (gently used clothing and small appliance shop downtown), Appliance Fest (recycle stoves, refrigerators and furniture), help run the local Food Pantry, help with community Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets and gift programs, Sew Blessed, and Prison Ministry. Also provide Children and Adult Sunday school.

More Contemporary and informal Worship

What to Expect

What are services like?
8:30 includes full liturgy, choir, and organ with a mix of more contemporary songs occasionally. 10:30 is very informal in our Fellowship area sitting around round tables with worship led by a praise team and the absence of any ritual.

What is the community like?
An inviting and friendly family of believers and seekers of faith which while predominantly older than 55 has representatives of all ages in attendance. A nursery is provided at the 8:30 worship service. Adult and children's Sunday school is between the services at 9:30 - 10:30 with a Fellowship time over coffee, juice, bars and cookies at the same time.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We would seek to make you feel welcome and included and ready to answer any questions and provide any assistance you may need without being pushy or opinionated.
