Who We Are
Maranatha Baptist Church is a local, Independent, Southern Baptist church with roots from the Jamaica Baptist Union. We are a diverse and loving family of believers that welcomes new people. We clearly and boldly preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and base all that we do and teach upon the Word of God. Our worship is traditional in style and points people to God. Our heart's desire is to please our Saviour in all that we do to reach people for Him.

Peter Allen
Reverend Peter Allen has been the Senior Pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church since its inception in 1991. A graduate of the New York Theological Seminary in New York City, Reverend Allen previously served in many leadership capacities in several churches in Jamaica as well as in the United States.
In His spare time, Reverend Allen spends a lot of time with his wife, 3 children and his grandson.
