Dianne Rice Taylor shared their experience Oct 2026
Lucile Baptist Church is where my brother Roscoe "Scooter Bill" Rice and I attended church when I was a little girl (4 and 5 years old) in 1974 and 1975. We walked to church together, since our home was just two or three doors from the church. Our mother, Ruth Rice, passed away on May 30, 1975 from breast cancer. In the fall of 1976 I was blessed with a second mother (her husband had passed away a few years earlier), and we moved to Jefferson County, Alabama. I went to elementary school through junior high at Greenwood Jr. High, and I went to high school at McAdory High School.
