Mike Adams
Mike was raised in a pastor's home right here in the Riverbend area. He graduated from Alton High School and later attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. While at CBC he became interested in radio broadcasting and the following year enrolled in Maryville Universities Broadcast Center Program. On the same weekend he graduated from Maryville, he got married to his beautiful wife Tammy, moved to West Texas and started a new career. It was a tough move away from family and friends and entering into the pressures of a new career and new marriage. Mike worked in radio for several years and drifted away from his Godly roots. After they had two children Joshua and Jonah Mike's priorities changed and he knew he needed to get back to God and get his life on track. He resigned his position at a St. Louis Radio station, got a "regular job" and began seeking God. During this time mike & Tammy were called to fill in at a church whose children's pastor was unable to be there for two weeks. two weeks turned into two years, then they took a position as part time Children's Pastor's at a large church in Alton. that part time position soon went to fulltime ministry. During 14 years of ministry at ALCC Mike and Tammy were Children's Pastors, Christian Education Directors, Youth Pastors, Associate Pastors and Music and Media Directors. At the end of this 14 year commitment Mike's heart began to dream of a church that would attract the dechurched and unchurched young adults in the area. He and Tammy left the security of a long term position to launch a new adventure. In January of 2009 Lifehouse was launched. god has continued to use and bless this young church in exciting ways. We look forward to seeing what the future holds!Location & Directions
