What are services like?
Our worship is a blend of contemporary and traditional. We sing contemporary praise and old-time favorite hymns. We follow a liturgy, but it isn't rote. We recognize that worship is about giving praise to God, not about pleasing our human desires. Christ is the center of worship and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we keep our focus on Him.

What is the community like?
We are a very loving group of people. Individuals who have been turned away from other churches find a spiritual family at H1UMC.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Our major mission is to introduce new people to the love of God through his Son, Jesus Christ. The message is much more practical than theological. We want to help people learn about Christ and then translate that learning into faithful living. We practice open communion...no one will ever be excluded from the table of the Lord. But if you are looking for a church where you can slip in and be anonymous, this isn't the church. Expect a heartfelt welcome.
