About Us
"Here at Healing Word Church, we believe that our mission should be the same as Jesus': To preach and teach the Gospel, heal the sick, save the lost, make disciples and restore the wounded. Jesus impacted communities everywhere He went. We believe the way to reach the lost in our community is to display the love, power and compassion of Jesus through local outreach, world missions, and serving; as He served."

I grew up in Central Illinois, right outside of Peoria. After many years of struggling with drugs and alcohol addictions and running from God, I entered the Teen Challenge program. It was there where I finally surrendered to God, was born again, delivered from addiction, and baptized in the Holy Spirit. Teen Challenge was also the place where I heard the audible voice of God saying to me “Teach My people My Word.” I received this call into the ministry and a year after completing the Teen Challenge program, the Lord led me to RHEMA Bible Training Center, in Broken Arrow, OK. It was while training for the ministry at RHEMA that I met my wife, Elyssia. We were married January 15, 2010. We both graduated from RHEMA in 2011: Elyssia from the Youth Ministry program, and myself from the Pastoral Ministry. We have a BEAUTIFUL daughter Gracelynn whom God blessed us with in 2011, she is a reminder of God's love for us everyday. We look forward to the BIG things God has in store for Springfield and Healing Word Church! Come and visit us some time!Location & Directions
