Green Pines Baptist Church

Jarrod has been serving as Senior Pastor at Green Pines since 2005. He attended Appalachian State University receiving a degree in Communication where he met his future wife Julie with whom he has four children: Molly, Karissa, Evan, and Canaan. Since earning a Master’s of Divinity Degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, he has been faithfully spreading the Gospel through his gift of preaching here in Knightdale and on mission trips to other parts of the world. Jarrod’s ministry is characterized by a verse by verse teaching style of the Bible showing how God’s word is applicable in our lives today. His love of Christ and God’s word is evident as he teaches with passion each Sunday. He says, “It is my hope that God would be glorified by people who obey God because they trust God. They trust God because they know God. They know God because they have heard His word. They have heard His word because I teach His word.” His favorite chapter in the Bible is Psalm 145 and his prayer for our church continues to be for us to praise, glorify, and trust our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His hobbies include playing with the family, biking, swimming, Tae Kwan Do, and enjoys learning about history.
