What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer a liturgical service that uses the Lutheran Service Book prepared by The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Traditional hymns played on a historic pipe organ are an important part of our worship. We are a family church and children are welcome. A nursery with sound is also provided. Our fellowship in the Lord's Supper follows the Lutheran tradition grounded in the teaching of Holy Scripture. As one baptized into the Name of our Triune God and confessing the real presence of Christ's body and blood in the Supper for the forgiveness of sins you are warmly invited to join us around the table to for Holy Communion. If you are not communing but wish to be blessed by the celebrant simply cross your arms at the rail.

What is the community like?
We're big on fellowship, which typically centers around food. After service we invite you to join us in the courtyard (weather permitting) or the lobby for refreshments. We also have Sunday school classes Fall through Spring for adults and children. Additional fellowship opportunities include monthly potlucks after second service, Wednesday Soup Suppers followed by Evening Prayer during the Advent and Lenten seasons, and special events throughout the year.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome the opportunity to share the gifts of our gracious Lord with you. If you want to know more about the Christian faith or Lutheran traditions, our pastor would love to speak with you.

Grace Lutheran is a church that takes its worship service seriously. From the moment you step into the church, you are welcomed by a warm and friendly community that is committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through traditional worship services surrounded by a beautiful architecture and stain glass windows. The worship services are designed to honor the rich history and traditions of the church while teaching the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. The hymns, sung by the congregation, are rich with theology and are accompanied by beautiful historic pipe organ music. Grace’s traditional worship service is a beautiful and reverent experience that leaves a lasting impression on all who attend.

The traditional Divine Service at Grace Lutheran Church provides a beautiful liturgical experience. The liturgy is conducted with great reverence, and the messages delivered by Pastor Thomas are insightful and inspiring. The pipe organ and beautiful Lutheran hymns add greatly to the worship service. There is a strong sense of community despite the “commuter aspect” of the congregation. People from all over the county attend and call Grace Lutheran home. The focus on Scripture, Law/Gospel, and the Lord’s Supper, combined with the congregation's warmth and love, provides an uplifting experience where one feels connected to Christ and spiritually fed.
