Grace Episcopal Church San Marcos

About Us

To know Christ and make Him known.

There are three entrances. One facing the parking lot, one facing the Fellowship Hall and the other facing the street. A friendly usher will be at each doorway to say “Hello” and make sure you are comfortable. He or she will hand you a bulletin. If you have any questions about anything at Grace, please ask the usher.

You will notice our 125-year old historic church has seating for 150 people – 50 in each section that face each other at a 90-degree angle. This makes for a more intimate worship experience.

Our Services

Sunday
08:30am
Holy Eucharist Rite II: A quiet reflective service.
10:00am
Choral Holy Eucharist Rite II: An intergenerational service with inspirational music.
06:00pm
Evening Prayer Services: This is a quiet and reflective service in which the congregation lights a candle when entering the sanctuary and we observe the liturgy for the day. This is a time to prepare ourselves for the week ahead and look at the week which has just passed. It’s a time to get centered so that we can move forward with our life in Christ and prepare for the week to come.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The bulletin has the music and the service listed. It is a participatory service with responses from the congregation in bold. You are welcome to participate on whatever level you feel most comfortable with. Even a silent observer is a participant in the worship of God.

What is the community like?
You are welcome to grab some coffee and treats in the patio area, get information about the happenings at Grace, and meet some new friends. Grace is a vibrant, active, and growing church. Five years ago, we had 25 people in attendance. Most of the people you will see are new-ish to Grace and come from a diverse background of belief. We believe in common prayer. Prayer is what unites us and brings all together in the Spirit and Grace of God. We believe in sharing, in fellowship, and serving in the name of Christ. At Grace we come together to know Christ and to make him known.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome.
