About Us

A gospel-centered city church

We are a gospel-centered city church in Philadelphia, desiring to be part of God’s work of calling people from all nations to be reconciled to Him and to each to other through Jesus Christ. We call ourselves ‘non-religious followers of Jesus,’ recognizing how ‘religious, institutionalized Christianity’ has created confusion about what it means to be a Christian and how the Christian life is to be lived. We submit to the authority of Scripture and rest in the sufficiency of the saving work of Jesus Christ. We are an ethnically diverse congregation of young and old, rich and poor, college grads and high school drop-outs who seek to encourage one another to grow in the fullness of life and ministry to which Jesus has called us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
At Grace Church of Philly, our desire is to be gospel- and Christ-centered in our gathered worship on Sundays. The service is casual, with contemporary music and traditional hymns led by a worship team. The sermons are expository, focusing on what the Scriptures teach, how they point to Christ, and how we should apply these truths to our lives. We celebrate the Lord's Table each week as a regular reminder of God's grace poured out on us through his Son.

What is the community like?
Located in a dense urban environment. We are a diverse mix of races, long-time residents and newcomers, of young and old, of singles and families. Relationships grow through home fellowship groups and through serving and ministering together to our community.
