This has been my church home for over fifty years and is very dear to me. Its members are my family though I grew up far away in a very different culture. When I arrived I learned that a common love for Jesus and the Word of God can overcome differences between a young woman from northern Minnesota and her new neighbor on a mountaintop in the northeastern corner of Alabama in a very short time. The bonds grew dearer with every passing year. Now I have become "a mother in Israel," and although I still don't sound like a southerner, I love and am loved at Floral Crest, where I plan to serve God for the rest of my life.
