What to Expect

What are services like?
You’ll enjoy a mix of contemporary and traditional music, an outstanding choir and practical messages that help you deal with real life issues. Services vary in length from 60 to 90 minutes – not much when you consider the benefit you receive. Whether you join us in our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service or midweek interactive gatherings (Wednesdays are a BIG DEAL HERE!), we want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God can give us. If you are bringing your family, we have amazing kids programs and free childcare available. If you have newborns there is a parent room next to the sanctuary where you can enjoy the Sunday morning service while looking after your children. Also available is a café and our pre-school --voted BEST PRESCHOOL in the Inland Empire by Readers of the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. After service, we encourage you to meet us in Hart Hall, located adjacent to the sanctuary, for free coffee and light refreshments. In Hart Hall, you will be able to meet people who are part of the church, ask questions, and even get a tour of the campus if you would like.

What is the community like?
We are a real, relevant church aimed to influence the emerging culture. You'll find us to be a God centered, caring community of individuals who are excited about having the opportunity to extend to you the same love, hope and joy we have received from the Lord. Our range of "gatherings" are designed to be a place where relationships are fostered and real life happens with community. Whether you attend our 10 am worship service, bring your kids to Sunday school (3-12 years of age), Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts Programs, and/or our Midweek Adult and Kids Programs (Homework Club, Kids Dinner Club & Awana), participate in life groups, volunteer with events/activities or our Vacation Bible School, or a Missions Trip overseas, there is something for everyone.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If it's been a long time since you’ve been to church, or church is a completely new experience for you, First Presbyterian Church of Upland has you in mind! Our heart’s desire is to help you discover a relationship with God and why it matters! The more we focus on discovering who God really is through Jesus Christ, the more we are changed. Knowing God intimately can transform your life into one of passion, joy, adventure, and peace. That journey to become more like Jesus is one that will bring you closer to Him and will allow you to discover your God given purpose and destiny in life.
