First Presbyterian Church, Clinton

About Us

Belong. Believe. Become.

We are an outgoing church, seeking to love and follow Jesus with all our hearts, minds, and souls. Together we celebrate the connectional nature of the PCUSA – a church where we are united in mission and worship with our Presbyterian brothers and sisters around the world, and with the church universal. At First Pres you will find people of diverse ages, political leanings, social positions, economic statuses, and backgrounds united by faith in Jesus Christ. In him we are one body, and in him we find common ground.

What to Expect

What are services like?
A mix of traditional and contemporary elements. From week to week you will see things such as a youth Sunday (led by our kids in grades 7 - 12 with lively music and a skit), a traditional Sunday (led by organ music and a traditional liturgy), and everything in between. From a traditional choir to film clips in the sermon, we have a little bit of everything. Some weeks our pastor wears a robe and stole, other weeks she wears blue jeans. Most of all, you'll feel welcomed with open arms.

What is the community like?
Friendly and utterly down-to-earth. You are as likely (in fact, MORE so!) to see parishioners in blue jeans than in suits and ties. People come as they are seeking God's transformation. It's one of the most welcoming places in town!

What if I'm not a Christian?
You're welcome to worship with us! We are a great church for those seeking more information about Christianity, those who want a safe place to ask questions, and those who are returning to the faith after many years away. Wherever you find yourself, you are welcome to check us out!
