Our Services

What are services like?
Our 1st service is traditional with familiar hymns, a Sanctuary choir, and an organist. Our 2nd service is contemporary with choruses, popular Christian songs from the radio, and a praise team/band. Our 3rd service is a blend of traditional and contemporary with a praise team. Our Senior Pastor preaches the same message in all three of our English-language services. During our 3rd hour, we offer a Spanish-language service in our Chapel.

What is the community like?
We are a group who love to serve and welcome visitors to our congregation. Our different age groups enjoy working on community service projects together--from Youth to Senior Adults. We want visitors to know we care about them and are here to help them find a place to serve along with us!

What if I'm not a Christian?
We hope you will visit one of our morning worship services to find out more about the good news of Jesus Christ! We also offer Bible study classes by age division for further study and small-group discussions.

Dr. Greg Ammons

Dr. Greg Ammons

Our Senior Pastor was born and raised in Boswell, Oklahoma, where he attended the First Baptist Church as a child. At the age of nine God convicted his heart of the need to place his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. As a teen, God called him into vocational ministry. Pastor Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Oklahoma Baptist University before obtaining the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He has served as the Senior Pastor of FBCG since 2004. Previous, he served as the Senior Pastor of Floyd Baptist Church in Greenville, Texas, and Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, Texas. In addition to serving in the pastorate, Pastor Greg has taught theology on the university level at Wayland Baptist University and Dallas Baptist University. He has also supervised doctoral projects for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2009, he authored the book, “Now My Eye Sees You: What A Doctorate Did Not Teach Me About God, My Son Did.” His hobbies include running half marathons, traveling, and broadcasting sporting events for Cumulus Broadcasting.
