First Baptist Church

A small sweet fellowship where verse by verse Bible study is the norm. Our pastor has been here for 17 years. Sunday School is at 9:45. While we have many senior adults we are actively praying and working to build our youth and children groups. We have concerts from time to time with groups such as The Southern Plainsmen, The Blackwood Legacy and others. We normally use vocational evangelists to preach our evangelistic revivals. Paul and Vanessa Cherry have begun our revival services at Homecoming the third Sunday in September several times. We meet for soup and salad with a devotion each Tuesday at lunch time. Children are welcome to eat with us. We host a breakfast each 2nd Saturday at 8 and have a devotion or mini-concert. We take occasional field trips out of town. We have a free food pantry and a free clothes closet. We are active in the Unity Baptist Association where our pastor served as moderator for 2 years. We sing from the Baptist Hymnal on Sunday mornings and from The Heavenly Highway songbooks on Sunday night and Wednesday nights at 5:30. Heart touching special music is normal in our morning service which begins at 11.00. Our doors are open to all who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness. We do not care about your past. We care about you where you are now and where you are going. We will be thrilled to see you in church as our guest.
