As the pastor of First Baptist Church I am humbled that the Lord would in his graciousness allow me to minister to His people. My earnest desire as a pastor and preacher is to impart the eternal truths of the Bible to other Christians so that they can do the same according to 2 Timothy 2:2. I was privileged to have been raised in a Christian home where “if we were going to Church” was never a question. In May of 2010 I was married to my amazing wife Kirsten and the Lord has given us five wonderful children, Cole, Adilyn, Ian, Charlotte, and Oliver. At the age of 13 I preached my first “5 minute sermon” on Job that lasted all of 2 minutes but it sparked a burning inside of me to preach and teach the word of God. In Fairbanks, Alaska, at the age of 17, the Lord Jesus Christ called me to surrender to His service completely where ever it would take me. At that Sunday morning church service I surrendered my life to him and through the gentle but firm process the Lord began to prepare me for service. I have been blessed with an amazing Christian heritage of week in and week out Bible teaching and preaching for my entire life. Through this discipleship I was grounded in the Bible and taught an appreciation for the inspired, preserved, and perfect King James Bible that I can hold in my hands and study. Today the Lord is still graciously continuing his work in me. While preparing and praying for what God would have for us to do, the Lord in an amazing way brought my family and I to First Baptist Church of Demotte. We hope to be found faithful in His task until His return.
