About Us
We seek to be an non or interdenominational church that unites people from all kinds of denominational backgrounds.
Our goal is to not be defined by man-made creeds and titles, but rather to call ourselves Christians only (Acts 11:26), and use the Bible as our only rule of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
So whether your background is Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, non-denominational or unconvinced, we want you to feel free to honestly explore our church at your own pace.
We believe this diversity of backgrounds and theology is a great strength of our church; however, it can also pose somewhat of a challenge. Phil Martin
Lead Pastor
There are many things I'm passionate about (my wife's cooking, golf, etc.), but at the top of the list are my faith in Jesus, my love for my wife, Kim, and our two sons and their wives: Kyle & Caitlin and Eric & Hannah, and the joy of serving through preaching, leadership, and equipping others.
Through various ministry experiences in Kentucky, Indiana, and and here at FCC, Salem, Illinois, combined with the biblical teaching I received at Kentucky Christian University (BA in Christian Ministry), God has led me to serve alongside a great staff, eldership and congregation for the glory of Jesus Christ and the furthering of His Kingdom.
