What to Expect

What are services like?
Services begin with a time of worship and praise that lead to a time of prayer. After prayer we welcome our guests who are joining us for the first time. We have opportunity to give after greeting our new friends and hear the upcoming events via video. Then Pastor Brenton Franks delivers the word before a time of worship and prayer at the end of the service. We have 2 services every Sunday morning at 9:00 & 10:30 AM.

What is the community like?
Our church community is a friendly body of believers that range across all ages. The majority of our church are young families but there are ministries encompassing all ages that are thriving. We have Solid Gold Ministries, our senior adult ministries that have events for the seniors all the time. Our Women's Ministries who do many events in our church including missions trips. Drift (young adult ministries) that reaches out to those in college and those starting out their lives at work or in relationships. All City Youth for students 6-12 grade encourages students to build relationships with Christ and reach out to their friends and community. Kidz World that helps our young ones to grow in the faith and knowledge of a relationship with God that will help shape their lives.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome anyone who walks through our doors. Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Each one of is is saved by grace, the bible says it is the gift of God and not of man so that no one should boast. We have chosen to lead a life by God's word and have been forgiven by grace. We didn't deserve it, it was a free gift given to us. We want to see others come to a better life through a relationship with Christ. You don't have to be perfect or have your life in order to set foot in our church. We are here to help you get where you need to be in your relationship with a God who loves you and has great plans for you!

Leadership

Brenton Franks

Pastor Brenton felt a call to ministry as a young man and began to pursue his call from God in High School. Pastor Brenton first attended college at Evangel College (now Evangel University) in Springfield, Missouri where he majored in Communications. He began his ministerial studies through Berean College and was first credentialed with the Assemblies of God in 1987. Pastor Brenton transferred from Evangel College and completed his B.A. in Communications from the University of New Mexico. He also continued his ministerial training with Berean College and was Licensed by the Assemblies of God in 1989 and was Ordained in 1992. Pastor Brenton and Ruth Franks’ passion is to reach Albuquerque with the Good News of Jesus Christ and to provide strong ministries for the development of people of all ages. It is the heart of our Pastors to see Evangel Christian Center reach every age group with the Love of Jesus Christ. Our desire is that you will be reached by the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and cultivate a strong relationship with Him.
