What are services like?
Not accustomed to going to church? That's okay, you're invited to join us! Here's what it might be like. The people in our church are ordinary folks from the community. Enon Chapel has a family atmosphere where we practice love, understanding, and forgiveness. We do not profess to be perfect, but our aim is to become more like Jesus each day. When you visit us nothing will be expected of you except to sit back, enjoy the friendly atmosphere, the music and the message for that day. You are free to participate with us as you choose. Our worship service blends the comfort and familiarity of traditional worship with the excitement of contemporary worship through instrumental and vocal music. The Celebration Choir and Orchestra lead in our musical worship. A variety of singers and soloists also offer praise to our Lord. The congregation also worships by singing, giving, and through prayer and Bible study. Dress in something comfortable, just like we do. If it is hot, dress cool, if it is cold, dress warm. You will see some of us in shorts or blue jeans (depending on the weather). Others may wear a suit or a dress. God's focus is on transforming the inner person not a person's personal style of dress.

What is the community like?
The City of Jacksonville is the commercial hub of Onslow County and home to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River .Jacksonville has grown steadily since 1941 when Camp Lejeune was established. The same qualities that drew the Marine Corps to build the “Worlds Most Complete Amphibious Base” in Onslow County are also some of the same qualities that caused the city to grow from a population of 66,715 in the 2000 Census to 82,000 by 2010. About half the population lives aboard Camp Lejeune and the New River Air Station. In 1992, Jacksonville was named an All-America City by the National Civic League. The median age for the City of Jacksonville is 22.9. Jacksonville Recreation and Parks provides residents and visitors with a variety of outdoor locations to enjoy, including parks and picnic areas, waterways for boating, fishing and water sports, greenways and trails for walking, jogging and biking, sports fields, basketball and tennis courts. Activities for all ages are coordinated through the Recreation Department and include team & individual sports, camps, exercise classes, educational & art programs as well as after school programs for area youth.

We are here to be a blessing to our community, not to judge people. You are welcome to come anytime, we will not hound you or ask you to do anything you aren't willing to do. You are welcome to engage us in a manner with which you are comfortable.
