Our Services

What are services like?
Services are a mix of traditional liturgy with some contemporary additions. Worship is something that takes us out of the ordinariness of the week and helps us focus on the God who changes.

What is the community like?
Mostly an older congregation, and very loving. When we say all are welcome, we mean it. If you are younger, prepare to be met by folks who want to be your beloved grandma! There are some of us under 40, and we lift each other and care for our older members. We are a family, but always hope to add a new member to our family.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Come on by. Allow yourself to sit in the mystery of the Christ we proclaim. There is no pressure to join, and you will be welcome as you are.

Justin Thornburgh

Justin Thornburgh

Pastor Justin came to EAB in January of 2013. He comes from Chicago where he heard God's call to urban ministry. Pastor Justin loves to help empower people to build relationships that will not only help the church, but build a stronger and safer community. He has a heart for social justice, especially urban violence. By helping build relationships he hopes to encourage others to see the image of God in their neighbor. He has a wife and small daughter. They are the pets of 2 dogs. p.s. Photo is courtesy of Tricia Kanig photography
