I am not a member (I live in KC area), but this might be the oldest continuous church of believers in SW Missouri. It was founded in the 1840's by my great-great-great (?) grandfather, Daniel Murphy. He founded several other churches in the area but I believe Coon Creek Baptist is the only one still in existence. (There is a monograph in the historical collection at SBU about Daniel Murphy.)
