About Us

Presbyterian Church

Conley Memorial Presbyterian Church is located in the North Cove area of McDowell County at 500 Old Linville Road, Marion, NC where it has been serving the Lord since 1886. Conley Memorial Presbyterian Church was founded a small group of members of the Marion Presbyterian Church. Originally known as the Turkey Cove Presbyterian Church, the church name subsequently became Conley Memorial Presbyterian in 1931 in honor of George W. Conley who donated the funds to build the current church building. The land was donated by Charles M. Huskins. The first pastor of the church was the Rev. John Mitchell Greenlee. The current pastor is Dr. Kenneth Humphreys.

Conley Memorial is a small country church located about 12 miles north of Marion, NC on the Old Linville Road, just a short distance off of US 221. Come and worship with us at 9:30 on Sunday mornings and join our welcoming congregation after worship for coffee and pastries. Our services are informal and you need not dress up unless you prefer to do so. Come as you are. God doesn’t expect Sunday-go-to-meeting attire nor do we.
