Coast Church is a growing community of people from Ventura, CA and the surrounding areas. We're learning what it means to be followers of Christ, live a life filled with His Spirit, and how to show His love to the world around us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our typical gathering is between 1-1.5hrs and we'll enjoy a time of music, a relevant message and time of community prayer with others. Feel free to dress as you'd like, but you could say "Ventura Business Casual" would be our style. We hope you'll come with an open heart and an open mind ready to experience all that Jesus can be in your life.

Coast Church is a place of faith, hope and love in Ventura, CA. a place where people BELONG, BELIEVE, and BECOME. We hope you feel that as soon as you're greeted at the door or in the parking lot. It is genuine, authentic and we want to serve you in any way possible. Our goal is for you to feel the impact of the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit in the same way we have.

What if I'm not a Christian?
People from all walks of life (atheists, agnostics, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, etc.) are welcome to gather with us at Coast Church. We believe that everyone will find something redeeming from the Scripture and that Jesus Christ's message of faith, hope and love is still relevant today. When you encounter the Holy Spirit, you will never be the same.

Scott Shoemake

Pastor Scott is a California native and married his wife Cheryl in 2001. They have three children, Eden, Huntley and Holden. After serving in various ministries for over nine years, they felt a distinct call to plant and grow a community of believers in Ventura, CA. Scott enjoys travel, surfing, photography, reading, calligraphy, and freediving.
