About Us

Want to know God better? Want to feel like attending Worship on Sunday was worth your while?

Christ Church is here so that each time you’re here, you’ll have deepened as a person and as a Christian. Each time, you'll have (actually) learned things about who God is, how God’s designed you, and how to live your life.
Our members grow deep, have greater joy, and love that they’re understanding the Bible more. They experience more peace and satisfaction in life, and look forward to coming Sunday mornings.
Here is an environment of grace, love, kindness, and true care for you. You’ll feel built up each time you come.

Enjoy and be satisfied in your church!

What to Expect

What are services like?
We’re glad you’ve found us online and we hope that we’ll see you at Christ Church in person sometime soon. We know that visiting a new church can be an intimidating experience, and the web is a great way to “ease into” a place before even setting foot in the door. So let’s try to pave the way for your visit by answering some of the more basic questions. When I arrive, where do I go? Enter the doors, and you’ll be greeted and pointed to the sanctuary and kids’ rooms. Where do I take my kids? We have a secure and well-supplied nursery for children two and under. About 20 minutes into the service, 3 year-olds to 1st graders are released from the main service to a special Children's Worship service for them. You’re also welcome to keep your children in the service with you. We love kids! What should I expect in your worship service? Our worship service is flooded with the Bible and the good news of Jesus that it contains. You’ll hear the Bible read and preached so that you might understand better Jesus, the world, and your life. We’ll also pray, sing, give, confess our faith together (with things like the Apostles’ Creed), and hear the Bible preached. Two Sundays of each month, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Dress is casual. What about Sunday School? It meets at 9:15 a.m. and goes an hour. Afterwards is a casual 15 minutes of fellowship before the worship service. We put a lot of effort into our Sunday School, both for the adults and the children. It’s Biblically rich, and worth one’s while to grow in Christ. Our pastor usually leads the adult class, and our classes for high schoolers down to three-year-olds are led by vetted, faithful, knowledgeable teachers. Can I stay under the radar, please? Sure. Rest assured—we won’t single you out. Just enjoy coming in, getting settled, and being kindly greeted by the people around you. We want you to feel at home and welcome, but not overwhelmed, identified, nor asked to commit to anything. It’s your first visit! We understand that, and want you to have the freedom to experience Christ Church in a relaxed, low-key manner. We hope we’ll see you here soon . . . and that you’ll experience the joy of knowing Christ, that you’ll feel your soul satisfied by His Word and gospel, and feel at home amid a laid-back, friendly people who understand we’re “not all that,” but nevertheless are greatly loved by Jesus. Want to talk with someone before you visit? Call or text the church at 919-333-9514, or e-mail us at [email protected]. We’d love to chat!

What is the community like?
Friendly, but not overwhelming, gracious, kind, interested, welcoming, laid-back, yet glad to grow in their knowledge of Jesus and Scripture. No pressure.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you’re not a Christian, but are wondering about Jesus, you'll find Christ Church to be an ideal place to come and learn about Him. You won't be bothered or tested, just gladly welcomed in a laid-back, not-in-your-face way. You’ll feel comfortable in our environment that lets you sit, learn of, and consider Jesus.
