Please contact me regarding the possibility of setting up a pastoral visit and communion for my mother, Mildred Huey at Ferncliff Nursing Home, Memory Care Unit 2-B, 21 Ferncliff Drive, Rhinebeck, NY 12572, 845-876-2011. Director Michelle Feller and Head Nurse, Pauline. Mother, now 93 years old, is a long time and devoted Episcopalian from Alabama. She was a regular attendee at church for services on Sundays and prayer meetings during the week until she moved here to New York during Covid to be closer to family. During Covid we could find no church open, of course, and now she is at Ferncliff where she receives visits from a Catholic Priest who prays over her and administers a blessing but will not agree to allow her to have communion. We pray with her weekly at the end of our visits but very simply. She has her original copy of The Book of Common Prayer along with her Bible at the ready and I think would find some solace in an occasional visit from an Episcopal Priest should this be a possibility. She is admittedly in an advanced stage of Alzheimer's and Dementia but is still responsive and appreciative of kindnesses. Thank you for your time and consideration.
