About Us

Here you will find individuals and families of open-minded, welcoming and accepting people! We strive to build God as the foundation of our lives, and desire to make the world a better place beginning with our baptismal vows of seeking and serving Christ in all persons, and striving for justice and peace among all people - beginning with ourselves! We find joy and comfort in the Episcopal liturgy, even while many of us come from other religious backgrounds! Our church family is over half children, and we strive to provide a loving, enriching place for their spiritual journey, even as we continue on our own. Our worship and spiritual practices continuously send us into the world, and we are called to be the hands and feet and voices of Christ as we minister with the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Heifer International, and our two missions: Christ's Church Nursery School, and Haiti's Hope Foundation. Please come and see what good things are happening here, and find a ready group of people who will strive to accept you where you are, as you are!

Ellen Huber
Rector

Mother Ellen: Every service at Christ's Church is a special experience. Within the framework of the deeply spiritual Episcopal liturgy, our Rector, The Rev. Ellen Huber, gives each service a unique and warmly personal touch, from her captivating smile and exuberant "welcome!" to her heartfelt closing prayer. She sets the tone for great depth and joy in every moment, as the congregation joins the choir in spirited singing of the hymns, shares "The Peace" all around, and offers up prayers. Highlighting every service, our Rector's well-wrought, down-to earth sermons never fail to carry a timely and memorable message for all.
