City Church is a biblically based, relationally driven, Spirit-led church that exists to radically love and practically serve the people of Charlottesville. We meet at the MLK Performing Arts Center at Charlottesville High School (1400 Melbourne Rd., Charlottesville, VA 22901).

What to Expect
Leadership
Pete Hartwig
Pete came on as the lead pastor of City Church in 1997 after spending 10 years as a university pastor in New Jersey. Pete feels a unique calling to the University context, so Charlottesville is the perfect place for him and his family. He provides oversight and vision for the church staff and the many City Church ministry leaders. His pastoral passion is to see that God's Word is clearly understood through relevant and engaging teaching and that everyone who calls City Church their home walks in the fullness of God's will for every area of life. Pete loves the outdoors, local college sports, and is working towards a doctorate in Leadership. Pete married his wife Fran in 1990 and they have 3 kids: Peter (18), Allie (15), Jackie (13).Location & Directions
