About Us

We are a small congregation sruuounded by a large community. We are a youthful older congregations who is accepting of anyone who desires to worship here. We are close to Coastal Carolina University and love college students. This is a come as you are kind of Church, a few wear suits but most are in casual attier, and yes in the summer you can wear shorts and filp flops.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Lots of people saying "Hello". We use a bulletin so you can follow along. A service that is traditional with a piano player who can really jazz it up and we love for him to do that.

What is the community like?
Mostly older congregation, with a couple of young families wanting and willing to include yours.

What if I'm not a Christian?
That is exactly why we are here! This is a place where you can learn about the Bible and what it means to be a Christian. There are people you can talk to here who proably have been where you are now and can answer your questions. Our pastor is always willing to share too.

Troy Metzner

Moved from Ohio to South Carolina in 1990 with my wife Ellen and our daughter Caitlin. I entered the Ministry in 1994 and have persued this vocation ever since. Centenary is my 4th pastorate and I am currently working on becoming a Provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church.
