Calvary Lutheran Church is a family congregation called to minister in the name of Christ to each other, to the community, and to the world. We are blessed with very active youth ministry. Dedicated members lead us in reaching out to people in need and in ministering to people with mental illness. We celebrate the presence of Christ in word and sacrament every Sunday morning, offering a less formal, contemporary worship led by our praise team at 9 AM, and a more traditional service with lirtugy and organ music at 10:30 AM. An energetic husband and wife team of pastors inspires us to keep growing in faith and service.

What to Expect

What are services like?
9:00 AM: A contemporary worship service led by one of our praise teams. We sing contemporary worship songs, give praise reports, listen to a sermon, and celebrate communion. 10:30 AM: A traditional worship service with organ music and liturgies that change according to the season of the church year. Liturgy booklets make it easy to follow the service. We are somewhat formal but not stiff. A crying room off the sanctuary allows worshippers with restless children to follow the service through a big glass window and audio transmission.

What is the community like?
We are a mix of long-time members of the community and recent arrival in this expanding area. All ages are fairly evenly represented, with almost a third of our members age 18 and younger. We have learned to adjust to changing times by keeping some valued traditions and adding some new ideas. Our church family is lively and caring; we love to eat together, laugh together, and reach out to each other in times of need. New folks are always welcome and will find their opinions and service cherished.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Everyone is welcome here, Christian and Non-Christian alike. We would love to share our faith experiences with you and tell you what it means to us to be a follower of Christ. We will be open to your questions and willing to help you on your journey of discernment. People of all ages have come to faith here.
