About Us
Welcome to Calvary Cherry Creek! No matter how you ended up on our website, we’re glad you’re here and we're thankful for the opportunity to let you know a little bit more about us.
All services at Cherry Creek are comprised of two primary elements: Spirit-led worship and verse-by-verse Bible study. Worship at Cherry Creek is led by our worship team whose supreme desire is to lift high the name of Jesus through a means of music. The style is primarily contemporary with the occasional hymn as the Lord leads. Each week the verse-by-verse Bible teachings are delivered by Pastor Matt who provides simple explanation and practical application of God’s powerful Word. Our services last for approximately ninety minutes and always start promptly at 9am & 11am (on Sundays) and 7pm (on Wednesdays).
We also have a thriving children's ministry! The kiddos enjoy a "rotation" type of an experience where they will start all together with worship and then break into groups based on age/grade at which time they will rotate to stations such as crafts, games and Bible study for the duration of the service. Each station is tailored for the age group that it is serving which helps the kiddos to continue to grow in the Lord during every service, craft, game and Bible study! This also provides a fun, fast-paced and interactive program to keep them engaged and learning about just how much God loves them!
We welcome our youngest little ones (ages 0 to around 3) to join our ministry team in the nursery where they will enjoy engaging activities, toys, Bible based cartoons and the love of Jesus while their parents and family attend service.
If you have a newborn or an infant that's not yet ready for the nursery, no problem! We have a parents' room right off of the sanctuary where you are able to enjoy privacy while also being able to see and hear the service.
Finally, our church staff and fellowship body will spend time engaging, connecting and answering any questions that you may have. Calvary Cherry Creek is truly a family and we welcome you to come and worship God in spirit and in truth with us! We refer to our sanctuary as "God's Family Room" because that's where His family meets!
Your "Sunday Best" doesn't have to be a suit and tie or dress! Jeans, sneaks, heels, sport coats, boots, button downs, skirts, t-shirts, casual, comfortable, cool - are all acceptable. Come as you are...we do.

Matt Korniotes
I'm really just a regular guy that God has chosen to use and truly His choice and calling on my life is in spite of me. Throughout my early adulthood I really tried my best to ruin my life. I lived every day for myself and was caught in a subtle but sure downward spiral. I met my wife April when I was 21 years old in May of 2002. She and I were together until June of 2005 at which time we were married. I had spent years not being the person I wanted to be for her and now I found myself failing as a husband and father to my new stepson, Brantley. But just as the Bible says, a man plans his way but God directs His path (Proverbs 16:9). God had brought April and Brantley into my life to reach through the darkness of my self-seeking and save me. In 2005 I attended a Men's Retreat that was hosted by Calvary Chapel. As the pastor taught of God's desires for fathers and for husbands my spirit within me fainted as I came to face my true self...lost, sick with regret and utterly brokenhearted...I had grown into a man that failed himself, failed his wife, failed his son and most of all, failed a holy, merciful, and just God. But God in His loving kindness, mercy and boundless grace saw fit to reveal His grace to Me through the knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ. That September night I gave my life to the Lord and found His promise to be true...that whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21). I came back from that divine appointment not perfect, not even close...but completely new. The Bible says that if any man be in Christ Jesus then he is a new creation...all things have passed away...all things are made new (2 Cor 5:17). Jesus had set me free and all I wanted was to grow in His grace and learn to love as He loves. I've always been an all or nothing kind of guy and the change that God worked in me was extremely radical to the point that I really sort of freaked out my new bride. Thankfully she hung with me and soon we were walking side by side in the love and grace of our Savior and Lord. I began to serve in any capacity that I could at Calvary Chapel eventually joining the staff as the Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor and a member of the worship team. My adorable daughter Madison was born to April and I in July of 2006 followed by my precious son Lincoln in December of 2009. In early 2010 I felt the Spirit of the Lord calling me out to a place that He would show me. As I prayed and sought God's will, His hand orchestrated the circumstances for me and my family to leave Virginia and come to the Denver Metro area to plant a new and fresh work. And so on September 6th 2010 I arrived here in Colorado to become a part of what God was wanting to do at Calvary Cherry Creek. God is wanting to reach the folks of Colorado and what a blessing it is to be a part of His work!Location & Directions
