About Us
We are a small Batist Church that believes that God changes lives through Jesus Christ. Our services are traditional while our music is that which glorifies our Saviour. Excellent children's classes,ladies outreach and community based ministries while reaching out to those that we can. We have monthly Church wide meals and many various activities throughout the year and always trying to serve in any capacity we have opportunity. Ron Buchanan Jr
Senior Pastor
Pastor Ron is a proud lifelong resident of the mountains of WNC. He has been married to his wife Louise 36 yrs. and they have no children. Having served the Lord for over 30 yrs he has held most positions in the Church with the exception of Deacon, during this time he has taken the many educational opportunities afforded him but is ever learning. Having served Churches as large as 550 members while still trying to retain the smaller Church friendliness and inclusion to all, he enjoys the family atmosphere we have here at Byrd's Chapel Baptist Church. He was elected May 15 2019

I adore Byrd's Chapel I have from day 1,the entire congregation is so warm and welcoming. We truly are a family that loves Jesus and desire a deep intimate relationship with Him. We have a wonderful Sunday School program,Choir,Ladies Outreach Ministry as well as community based ministries. We are always seeking God's will and direction as to how we can be more effective for His glory. Please come visit and experience what we love
