We are an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation with roots in the Swedish Augustana Lutheran Synod. Our services and believes our founded on The Lutheran Confessions. We are largely traditional in practice with a growing interest in alternative worship. We have active youth , Senior. , and family missions.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Sunday morning worship includes Lutheran liturgies and hymns found in the Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) hymnal. We practice every Sunday Communion. Adult and Children's choirs sing throughout the month and a children's message is proclaimed each Sunday. Currently we have a Wednesday evening gathering which includes contemporary music and informal bible time. As this is in development, the time and format may be subject to change.

What is the community like?
Fergus Falls, MN is a city of 15,000 people between St Paul and Moorehead. The community is big into sports and winter activities. We are surrounded by many water fowl lakes and great fishing. We have a large hospital and a state of the art cancer center. There is plenty of fine dining and entertainment in our downtown. Schools are top notch and strongly supported by residents.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We invite all to visit and participate in mission regardless of belief. If you are desiring to visit, we suspect you already believe something.

Leadership

Phillip Tobin

Pastor Tobin is a 2nd career ELCA pastor ordained in 1998. He attended Luther Seminary, St Paul, MN. His 1st career was serving in his families construction business. Pastor Tobin grew up Roman Catholic and converted to Lutheranism at age 20 because he firmly believes that we "are saved by grace through faith."
