We want everything we do at Ascension to be centered in God’s Word (Bible) and bathed in Prayer. Our congregational life, ministry and practice are firmly rooted and centered in Lutheran Theology, with a strong emphasis on God’s Grace and Forgiveness. (God Always Comes Down!)

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are open for all ages. We use a variety of music and service styles. While we follow the classical pattern of historic worship we seek to do so in a way that is both relevant and contemporary - all the while seeking to give all glory and honor to God.

What is the community like?
We are a Lutheran congregation with a mix of ages and people who come from several different church backgrounds - and some from none at all. People tell us we are friendly and welcoming - and we are glad to hear that! We are eager to help people WORSHIP the Lord, GROW in Faith, CARE for Others and SHARE the Good News of Jesus Christ!

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a Christian, you can join us for much of what we do in worship - though there will be places such as partaking in the Lord's Supper where you will need to just watch. But in our Fellowship and Learning time, you are welcome to ask any questions you might have and we will seek to always treat you with the respect due to a guest in our midst!
